I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful wedding at the MIT Chapel and MIT Samberg Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts last September. The whole day was full of fun, emotion, and sweet little moments.
The MIT Chapel barely contained all the joy that the couple and their guests brought to their day. The way the natural light spilled through the domed skylight added a touch of magic as the couple said their vows and exchanged rings.
After the ceremony, we moved to the MIT Samberg Center for the reception. The view from the balcony was breathtaking and we were so lucky to have such a nice sunset over the Charles River!
One part of the evening that was especially touching was actually during the bouquet toss! When the bride was throwing back her roses- instead of letting go, she gave each pair of outreached arms a flower. Everyone got a piece of her bouquet!
The couple and their guests danced the night away with a backdrop of the twinkling Boston Skyline behind us. It was especially fun when it was time for “La Hora Loca,” a tradition where the couple brought out props, costumes, and everyone went crazy! I have to admit that I started dancing as well.
Capturing the love and joy of the newlyweds against the backdrop of these iconic locations was a truly memorable experience. The MIT Chapel and MIT Samberg Center perfectly complemented the elegant and fun atmosphere of the day, creating timeless photographs that the couple will cherish for years to come.
